defending voters
On election night my friend Mark Pirtle asked me to be part of a panel discussion on public-access TV entitled What Just Happened?
From my home office, wearing my hoodie, I joined my friend Damon Parrish, who is a public defender, and some very political people.
The gist of it, for me, was that the very political people were trying to make sense of why not everyone was voting for Joe Biden, and were sure that it was racism. I tried to share the idea that people have different priorities, and that people who disagree with us are not necessarily doing so for the worst motivation that we can think of.
Anyway, here’s the end product.
